Baptism Mini Album

The big day is quickly approaching and I'm getting as excited as a kid at Christmas! This is a once in a lifetime event and I'm thrilled that B has made the grown up choice to be baptized! To help her remember her special day, I made this little 4X6 mini album where we can paste photos and other little memories from her baptism day.

I made a paper flower from a dictionary page following Donna Downey's instructions (kind of). I didn't have a large scallop shaped circle, so I just cut a plain circle out, cut around it with decorative edged scissors, then spritzed it with my pink glimmer mist. Then I kind of scrunched it up to mak a flower shape. I layered it with some other cute stuff I had lying around and I like how it turned out!

I printed a wallet size print of her invite so she can always remember it. I used Tim Holtz stamps through out the album to add some fun. For the flowers, I stamped on brown cardstock with my versamark ink, then embossed with white embossing powder. Then I just cut carefully around the flowers and adhered them to the page using 3-D foam squares. I did this on a few different pages.

I added a little page where she can write down who came to her baptism.

Then, just a few rather plain pages where she can add lots of little photos. These pages will look a lot better when the photos are added on. Here is another one of those little dictionary page flowers:

I used a dictionary page to cover this page, and though I realized AFTER I glued it on that is says "Sorrowful" on it (ha ha) I realized that much of it will be covered with photos in the end. Still - make sure you LOOK at the words on the dictionary page before you start working it into your project!

More blank pages for photos or whatever:

I added a little envelope where she can pop in maybe copies of the talks that were given, or her baptism program... whatever.

And finally, a spot to write her feelings of the day!

I added several blank paged on white cardstock where those who were guests can write a little note to B to add to her book. I'll have those sitting out at the baptism.

I hope she loves this book and that it helps preserve the joy of the day!

So cute--- I wonder if I can pull of a boy version of this. My son gets baptized in a few months.

This is fantastic! What a wonderful keepsake this will be. When I saw the "sorrow" page I thought perhaps it had something to do with feeling sorry for wrong doings before repenting! Ha.
