Free Mother's Day Template and Brush

I was going to share this on Friday, but I wanted to post it with enough time to get it done for Mother's Day this Sunday. Can you believe it's THIS Sunday?!? It's so early this year (or feels like it)!
I made these sweet and simple little cards for my dd's preschool class and I thought that I'd offer the template and brush I made to all of you to make quick work of making one yourself! Here's what the finished product might look like:
So, here's what you do! Download the template, the brush (or brushes if you want the "Mother's" Poem as well) and the patterned paper file, if you'd like to use it. You can feel free to use any digital paper you've got as well.

2. Open the template, photo, and patterned paper in Photoshop
3. Drag the photo and paper onto the template like so.
In your layer's palette, be sure to drag your photo over top the red layer, and your paper over top the blue layer. You are going to create a clipping mask to make your photo become the shape below it! Click once on your photo layer to highlight it. Click on Layer>Create clipping mask. To learn more about using clipping masks, read my tutorial here.
If you created your clipping masks correctly, your layers palette should look like this:
Once your photo and paper are moved to fit nicely onto the template so they cover the "color" layer below, then flatten your image. Simple choose the poem brush and "stamp" it onto the paper side. Done! You'll get a little 4X6 image like this:

or switch sides, use a different paper, and get something like this:
Print it off like you would any 4X6 photo at your print lab, frame it, or mail it...whatever! A cute and simple gift for the mother in your life :) Download the Elements you need below:

Happy Mother's Day (early) and pop back on Friday for a new free printable! I'm kinda fond of this one ;)

Thank you Bobbi-Jo. I love the card that you designed as well as the poems and the template you made. You always make lovely things. It is hard to believe that Mothers Day is this Sunday.
