Moving!

It has been one crazy few weeks! By the photo above I'm sure it is obvious, but - our family is making a move! The most exciting thing about it is WHY we are making the move. My hubby has a new job in a new city, in a new Province. Okay, so it's in Alberta, which isn't a new Province to us, but is a change from where we are. This came straight out of left field - not something we saw coming in any way.

I don't want to spend a lot of time writing about the details. I have covered every last detail in my personal journal. All I can say is, I have NO doubt that the Lord's hand has been in this change, and that He has been instrumental in how everything has fallen into place. No doubt whatsoever. Every bit of timing has been ideal, in every respect. Things that were completely out of our control have worked together in a way that can't be coincidence. It just can't. One example is - how quickly our house here sold. Lyndon's job starts Dec. 2nd. That gave us just over a month to get our house prepped for sale, up on the market, sold, a new house purchased, financing in place, packing and moving done (among other things). Our house sold in less than a week. That is a direct answer to prayer and fasting. Amazing. There have been so many other obvious blessings that I am filled to overflowing with gratitude for a loving and merciful Father in Heaven. He is truly there and He truly wants what is best for us.

So, with a new job, a new city, and new Province - all in a couple of shorts week's time - there is still much to do. But, instead of feeling overwhelmed and anxious, I have been filled with a sense of deep calm and serenity. Things will work out. The Lord can do all things that He will. Having faith during what could be a very stressful time has proven to be invaluable to me. I'm grateful for the knowledge that God is real, He hears my prayers, and He answers them. Life is grand!!

You know what? I really needed to hear this! Our place just went live on the market last night and I had a full-on panic attack about selling, buying, moving, finances, etc. We're not even moving provinces, not even switching cities, just homes.

It's just the fear of the unknown and changing. It's so easy to forget who to rely on and I realize now that I'm very behind on my quiet time with God. So thank you!

Good luck with your move!

Fantastic news!!!

I bet your families are beyond thrilled to have you closer to them.

We pray that your move will be a smooth one and that it will be an easy adjustment for your girls. They are very mature so I am sure they will be just fine.

YAY! Welcome back to Alberta! Can't wait to hear more details once you arrive.
