Summer Activity Ideas!

Can you believe it's only a couple of weeks until the OFFICIAL start of summer? The kids will be out of school, the weather will be warming up, and the world will be our oyster!

For me, this also means I've got some planning to do! Yes, there will be no schedules - but sometimes a bit of planning ahead will make the days even more carefree, right? I have been hunting around to find some great summer activity ideas that I plan to do with my kids during the summer break. And if it works for me, I want to share it! Here are a few great finds you might like, too!

1. DIY Memory Game
This fantastic memory game created by Elizabeth from "Dear Lizzy" would be a great way to spend some time together. Not only playing it, but MAKING a set would be a fun craft idea!

2. Daily Schedule
I LOVE this idea from "Somewhat Simple" - you can customize what you do each day to the ages of your kids, and their interests, but it still keeps each day different. LOVE!

3. Broken Umbrella Game
The geniuses at HowDoesShe have shared a wonderful game made from a broken umbrella (don't throw yours out!) I'm doing this for sure!

4. Shell Pets
Rebecca Cooper at "Simple As That" hit the nail on the head with these adorable "Shell Pets". I can see making these out of rocks, pine cones, or anything you can find! Some dollar store googly eyes and your imagination...perfect!

6. Sponge Balls
Okay, just one more... I am making these with my kids, FOR SURE! I can envision hours of fun making and playing with these sponge balls I found on "Betz White". So EASY to make (oh, and inexpensive, too). I may have to just join in on this one :)
