FHE In a Nutshell

We had an amazing FHE this week - and the best part? The girls planned all of it. TJ planned a fabulous lesson on the Word of Wisdom, complete with teaching BB a new song from the Children's Song Book so she could lead the rest of us, as well as helping JJ with the prayer, and B picked a fun Word of Wisdom Bingo game for an activity! I found the template for the bingo game at Finches Family Games.
Then we headed outside to get the bikes out and see what work needed to be done on them. We all can't wait to get riding again. Lyndon is already riding his bike to work. What a man! We also were over joyed to see many of our perennials peeking out of the soil! Spring is officially here!
The sun was still shining, so we headed out to a park nearby for some exercise, play, and fresh air! We ran up the hill, flew on the swings, climbed, spun, and laughed...a LOT!
The best way to end a Family Home Evening about health is with a yogurt and fruit parfait topped with almond granola. Super delish!

When there are so many days where I feel like I'm doing so MANY things wrong as a mom, days like these remind me that I'm doing okay :) My girls are amazing little ladies who honestly try to do what is right, and we love being together as a family. You can't ask for more than that! I'd call this day a huge SUCCESS!

That looks like such a fun FHE! Our FHE's consist of just singing primary songs. My girls are too little to listen to a lesson. Your kids did a awesome job! And what a yummy dessert!
