What's YOUR pick?

Hi, friends!! Once again, I am looking for your advice.

I have signed up to be a part of something FANTASTIC! I was reading on Becky Higgins blog, and she was looking for photographers around the world who wanted to participate in giving away a COMPLIMENTARY photo session on her blog to a deserving family in their area. Of course I want to be a part of that! So, I'm signing up. What she needs from me, though, are 3 great shots which show my style and what I offer. Okay, I'm impossibly indecisive when it comes to choosing between my photos. UGH!

That's where you come in! Can you help me? I have posted here a few different shots I've done which show a variety of styles that I offer. Can you pick your favorites for me? I'm going to make this easy for you. I'm numbering the images, then you can simply enter your choice(s) on the poll to the right. Right? I'm interested in seeing what YOU would choose as YOUR favorite shots/styles. It will help ME with this process, but also to get an idea of what my clients are looking for in a session.

To say thank you, I'll be giving away a free set of my Photoshop or Photoshop Elements actions to one of the readers who comments on this post and tells me WHY you chose which photo. You can choose whichever action set you like. So, I'm counting on your help! I need to submit the photos to Becky by Friday. I LOVE YOU!!!

Hi! Personally, I like either 5 or 9 - if you're going to do this for a deserving family, then the shots that show your fun, relaxed approach to family shooting would work best in my mind. That, and those little bespectacled kids in 9 just make me happy. :)

What a great program!

1, 5, or 8 ... I think I might be leaning towards 1 though.

Seriously?! You want us to pick just one?! They are all amazing! I ended up choosing number 5. I think it is a great shot that would be cute used as a Christmas card as well as blown up huge and framed or printed on a canvas. Number 18 is also to die for!

5, 7 and 8 are my faves! (they are all fantastic though!)

I chose 2, 5 and 8...but it was hard, they are all so good..

Yeah, they were all so good that it was really hard to narrow it down.

But I chose #2 - his eyes are so piercing and crisp.

#7 - I just liked the pictures.

#8 - I could really feel their love for each other; she's such a happy bride and you captured that.

#9 - It's a different perspective - a child's perspective, down on their level. And their expressions are great.

2, 5, and 7,

the colours are LOVELY! The eyes on #2 and #5 POP, and they aren't poses/photos you find on EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTOGRAPHER'S. SIGHT.

Love them.

I say 9. It shows a different view, but one that you always want to remember (how small they were). It's fun- like you, and a great shot.

Can I be the deserving family :) j/k

I chose 16, 9, and 5.

16 because it's a totally cool effect & is appropriate for those photos. (and shows that you can rock photoshop in a fun way that is appropriate for the photo- it's not overdone or out of nowhere cuz it matches the shots)

9 because it's a gorgeous photo, really cute group shot, and shows that you can do lovely, traditional portraits.

5 because I love this style, it's cute, it's fun, and it shows that you don't JUST do traditional portraits.

Lovely work! :)

Bobbi-Jo, I liked 1, 8, and 18 the best! The others were really good too, I had to really narrow it down for you! Love your incredible talent!

I chose number 5. It's a close up shot. Love to see close up features crystal clear like that. And the lighting behind is GREAT!

I liked 2, 4, 8, 9 and 16.

2 and 4 both because they both seem to capture a lot of their personality in the picture.

8 because I love that creamy black and white look.

9 because I love that angle - it shows exactly how big the kids are, and how close the family is.

16 because I think the texture look is so trendy right now, and you do it well

2: love the color, clarity and crispness.

6&13: in my opinion showcase your ability to pose groups.

18: who doesn't love a precious baby shot?

those are my favorites, although really they're all gorgeous.

Oh my gosh, so hard to choose. But i'm going with #8. I love when emotion is captured, and you can feel every ounce of hers just looking at this photo. Great work.x

Oh this is a tough one. I chose # 5 as my absolute favorite because I love the pose and for me the "eyes" have it! I is so crips clean and beautiuful.
# 13 for a larger family is perfect. Love how you have everyone grouped and posing. It is a unique way and I just love it.

# 18 - I love the pure simplicity of this photo. Just gorgeous.

It was so hard to chose because as one of your photographer followers I love *all* of your work! I hope one day to be able to take photos as well as you do. Operative word....hope. :) Good luck Bobbi.

I chose 1, 8, and 18. I love that you incorporate the surroundings into what would be just an ordinary picture. I love your work in black and white as well as in color. I am sometimes better able to see the emotion you capture when the picture is in black and white. I also love your work with babies. I love how you can somehow capture every little wrinkle. You are amazing. It was hard to pick just 3.

My choices would be...

#2 - I love the colors - the bokeh is great and there's just the right amount of contrast and softness. It's a great example of a child portrait.

#9. Great example for a family. The colors pop and while the focus is on the kids, Mom & Dad are represented. Plus it shows that you can capture kids in a cute moment.

#17. I was torn between between this and #10. I loved the family aspect of #10, but it looks like the little girl's portrait is slightly out of focus and you over-sharpened to compensate (it is an adorable photo and worth saving). I wouldn't do #5 for the same reason. #17 shows a great family moment that incorporates the parents. You can feel the love!

Anywho - my 2 cents. All the images are a nice selection either way!

Hey Bobbi! I just jumped over on your link from FB and I hope it's not too late for a little more input. If it is, Oh well:) I find #1 very pleasing as a family picture and not something you see every day. I also like #5, #3 and #2. Hope that helps:)
