December Daily Days 1-7

It may be only days until Christmas, but our little family has been making the most out of every single Decembery day. It has become a tradition in our home to count down the days in December with a daily advent activity! Each year, I plan out our December with different activities for each day to stretch out the holiday season all month long! You can hear more about my philosophy behind this idea in my podcast with Melissa Shanhun  HERE.

Every morning, our children have raced up the stairs, grabbed that day's envelope, excitedly ripped it open to see what fun the day had in store. Our activities have varied from "watching a Christmas DVD" (on which day they got to unwrap a new movie to watch, in our case "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas") or decorating a gingerbread house. Some days the activity was an "already on the calendar" activity, like The First Presidency Christmas Devotional, or the ward Christmas party. It has been a fun month, thus far, and I have been documenting all of the good times by using the same digital templates I used for the "30 Days of Thankful" from Cathy Zielske!

Here is a look at our first 7 days!
