Questions answered well!

While watching BYU TV online, I came across this most excellent interview with Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles that took place on April 18th of this year. He was interviewed by Mike Schneider of ?Bloomberg? television in New York city (he is not a member of our faith), and I was struck by what a great interview this would be for people not of our faith to get some honest, straight-forward answers to some common questions about what we believe - coming NOT from someone who is against the Church, but from an Apostle who represents our Church in every way. Mike asked some wonderful questions, and Elder Ballard answered them wonderfully as well. It was a positive interview, which sets straight many misconceptions that are out there - he answers questions on a wide range of issues such as our stand on polygamy, abortion, building relationships with people of other faiths, media stereotypes, our humanitarian efforts and so on.

It's not too long, and I would encourage anyone who has ever been curious about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to check it out! I can tell you that as a practising member of the "Mormon" church (which Elder Ballard suggests is an okay term to use), that everything he says fairly represents the belief of our members, and I know because I live it! :)

By the way - many Canadian members of the church were able to see Elder Ballard speak at the broadcast last week. Remember him mentioning how he's been doing more interviews with members of the media to set the record straight? Voila!
