Looky what I did :)
I was blog browsing and I came across a creative gal who made a fabric covered cork board. I was looking for SOMETHING that could hang on the wall above our sofa bed in my craft/spare room and I knew immediately this is what I wanted to do. I am all about something being beautiful AND practical! I bought a 22" X 35" cork board at Wal-Mart (already complete with the black frame) and some awesome fabric as well. I only need half a meter (or half a yard - not sure which LOL!) so the fabric came to about $2.50. I LOVE it! I used a cutting mat and a rotary cutter to cut the fabric to just fit over the corkboard. I used spray adhesive to attach it, then hot glued black ribbon along the edges of the fabric to make it all look tidier. LOVE IT!!! It's big enough to hold a couple of 12X12 layouts or a BUNCH of photos.
Here's how it looks in the room. It is very large (though it's hard to see that from the photo) and it looks great in the room.
I bought some push pins and hot glued some blue buttons I"ve had around for over a year. I love how they turned out and they match my wall perfectly. So fun!
Things like this just make me happy :)

So cute! I've got plenty of walls that are screaming for some decorations. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best in this department so thanks for the ideas!!
I am just in the process of redecorating my home office. I am going to steal this idea. I love it.
LOVE it! I have to do this. Yours looks so great. How did you manage to hot glue gun the ribbon without the glue oozing out and making a mess and burning your fingers? I just love your craft room. It's so clean and fresh and pretty. :)
I've been wanting one of these in my craft room and my husband has a cork board in his office he is not using. This looks so easy. Love the spray adhesive idea. THANKS!!
