Today's Free Friday is a quote that I came across as a teenager and it really had an impact on me. Sometimes, especially as children, we live believing that in order to be happy, the world must conform to our ideals. This quote taught me that, not only is it easier to change MYSELF, it is truly the only thing that I have the power to truly change. If I spend all of my energy trying to change everyone and everything around me, I will be a sad, frustrated, angry, bitter person. In stead, if I see a problem with something in my life - the first thing I need to focus on is what I can change within myself to make things better, More often than not...that does the trick!
